Alas, Leslie Nielsen has passed away.  Famous for Forbidden Planet and Airplane!, he appeared in a large number of works throughout his life.  Younger views might not remember his non-comedic roles, but he surely could be serious (and don't call him Shirley).
 
 I'm going to stop writing now, lest I start quoting Leslie Nielsen lines and make this a much longer post.
